Is it update time again already?

So I guess it is time that I poked my head in here again with another update.

I went to dinner on Tuesday night with a couple of the guys from work. One of them was finishing up at Citistreet and moving to Nevada, so it was kind of a farewell for him. We went to Redbones, the BBQ place I went to previously with Dave & Heather Tolve, and had a good time.

Wednesday night was the season 2 premiere of Lost but I had a D&D game to go to, so I didn't see it. Kevin & Peggy taped it for me, so I will be stopping by their place on Monday night next week to watch the episode. The D&D game was good fun, though at least half of our party was in a very precarious position as the session ended. Hopefully we can recover enough next week to prevent too many of our characters from biting the dust!

This weekend is my last "quiet" weekend until October 29th. I put "quiet" in inverted commas because it's a rather relative term. This weekend I have to: post parcels back to Australia, go out on Saturday night, visit a friend on Sunday, write a proposal for a new Iron Heroes book (the first one is due out very soon!), and write up other Iron Heroes stuff for various games. I also have some more writing I should be doing for CGW, some DVDs I really ought to watch, and a couple of new movies at the cinema (Corpse Bride and A History of Violence) that I would quite like to see.

I am at least in Boston this weekend, however. Next weekend I will be in New York, the two weekends after that I am in Seattle (I'm also there the whole week in between -- it would be a long way to go just for the weekend!) and then the fourth weekend I have a game day to go to in Worcester. That's only about an hour to an hour and a half down the road from Boston, at least.

Chas will be going to Seattle as well, and we have made a list of places to visit while we are there. It should be a busy week. We have currently left the last two full days free so that we have some flexibility in out plans. If possible, I would like to get out to Mt St Helens while we are there: it should be very interesting to see.

Having said I will be back in Boston for the weekend of the 29th, I should backtrack and add "assuming nothing gets organised for that weekend". There was some mention of doing something for Halloween. I am waiting to hear back from people whether that is going ahead.

In any event, October 29-30 and November 5-6 are at least tentatively free, but the two weekends after that are not ... I am flying off to Vegas and Anaheim for 11 days from November 10-20. Should be a fun experience: the Grand Canyon, Vegas's bright lights, Disneyland and GenCon SoCal!

Once I get back from that, there's only 4 more weeks until I head home, so as you can see it is all "go"!
